I'm Dan. A Canadian photographer based in London.
What started as a personal obsession with film photography slowly turned into something more serious. I was drawn to the unpredictability of film — the patience it requires, the imperfections, and the way it forces you to really pay attention to what’s happening in front of you. The goal is to capture a moment, not a photo.
That mindset still shapes how I shoot today. My work focuses on people, places, and real moments, approached in a way that feels natural rather than over-directed. I’m less interested in perfect poses and more interested in images that feel lived-in, honest, and timeless.
Crooked Photography is about documenting stories as they are — not polishing them into something they’re not.
